Dhaka, October 6: Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Advocate Anisul Huq, has said that the incident of torturing a housewife in Begumganj, Noakhali, could be a 'conspiracy'. He said such atrocities could not be normal. Huq said it is a horrible and ugly thing to upload videos on the internet, especially after undressing and said the government is determined to ensure further investigation and justice.

The law minister said, "It cannot be called a mere social crime. I saw descriptions of torture in the media and shuddered. There can be nothing worse than this. I thought it was a conspiracy. But everything will come out only after investigation."

Asked why he thinks there is a conspiracy, he said, "The perpetrators have been arrested. There will be a fair investigation. All will come out in the interrogation. You are aware of the trial. Our prosecution has taken a strong position in settling the cases. We are taking action considering such cases as important for maintaining social order. The criminals are also being punished. This is being proved. This trend will continue."

‘In response to the rising tide of crime, the law minister said, "The cause of this instability in the society has to be determined first."

It has become urgent to determine whether it is instability, ugliness, or conspiracy. There may also be a special purpose for uploading videos during torture. We will seriously find out why these crimes are happening. '

It may be mentioned that the incident took place on September 2 in Ward No. 9 of Eklashpur Union in Begumganj Upazila of Noakhali.

The matter came to light on Sunday (October 4) after the video went viral on social media 32 days after the incident. A case has been filed in this regard. So far four people have been arrested.

According to the case file, local Badal and his accomplices entered the room of the housewife at Nur Islam Miah's house in Khalpar area of ​​Ward 9 of Eklashpur Union at around 9 pm on September 2 and tied her husband in the next room. They then tried to rape the housewife. At this time, the housewife resisted, they stripped her naked and beat her severely and recorded videos on their mobile phones.
