Dhaka, March 16: Referring to Bangladesh's foreign policy, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, "We believe in peace, not war. Our foreign policy is very clear. Friendship with everyone, enmity with none."

"If we are ever attacked, we must defend the independence and sovereignty of our country," she said. "That is why we have to take all kinds of education including technical knowledge."

Sheikh Hasina said that a number of military equipments are going to be added to the Bangladesh Air Force in the future.

She made the remarks while virtually joining the GROB G-120TP training aircraft addition program to the Bangladesh Air Force fleet in Jessore on Wednesday (March 16). The Prime Minister said research is underway in the country to build prototype aircraft at the initiative of Bangladesh Air Force. Recently, research is underway to make prototype aircraft in the country at the initiative of the Air Force. It makes us more optimistic.

She said 12 training aircraft have been added to the air force today. "The training of this aircraft is very modern technology. This is what we collected from the Germans. InshaAllah a few more aircraft will be added to the Air Force in the future. That effort is ongoing."

Highlighting the contribution of Bangladesh Air Force in the UN peacekeeping mission, the Prime Minister said, "One thing must be kept in mind, our forces are playing a role not only in our country but also in international peacekeeping. They have to work with pilots from different countries of the world. I want every one of our pilots to be trained to international standards. I care about that."

We have established Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University with the aim of making space research, development of air force and modernization in the field of civil aviation. We have established the university in Lalmonirhat. In this institution the children of our country will receive education and do research.
