Novel about the struggling life of Bangabandhu's two daughters published

Dhaka, May 16: After the assassination of Bangabandhu, a novel titled 'Hey Santapta Samay' by renowned fiction writer Anwara Syed Huq has been published in various countries of Europe and India in the period of 1975-81. 'Agami Prakashani' has published this new novel on the occasion of the 41st Homecoming Anniversary of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Osman Gani, the editor of the forthcoming publication, says that the famous novelist Anwara Syed Haque has written the novel 'Hey Santapta Samay' based on the struggling life of Bangabandhu's two daughters in different countries of Europe and India in the hostile reality of 1975-81. This is the first novel written by Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana from 1975-81.

He said that in this novel, along with the life struggle of Bangabandhu's two daughters, the authentic episode of the journey of light of Bangladesh nation from darkness has also been revealed. The book is dedicated to the memory of the late Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, who provided compassionate shelter and security to Bangabandhu's two daughters during the most difficult times.

May 17 marks the 41st anniversary of the return of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Returning home on this day in 1971 after the assassination of Bangabandhu and his family on 15 August 1975, Sheikh Hasina devoted herself to the struggle for restoration of democracy and rule of law in the country. Sheikh Rehana, the youngest daughter of Bangabandhu, was also closely associated with him in this struggle.
