Own Correspondent, Dhaka, February 21: Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport Minister Obaidul Quader has asked the BNP to talk in a peaceful tone.

"Otherwise, the people will give a proper answer," he said. "The Awami League is not afraid of the BNP's shout."

Obaidul Quader made the call to the BNP leaders while addressing as the chief guest at the Natore District Awami League Triennial Conference on Sunday. He joined the conference virtually from his residence in the capital.

Regarding the conspiracies of the BNP leaders ahead of the next national elections, the general secretary of the Awami League said, "People do not have a visible picture of their development, so the people will face all the conspiracies of the BNP and win the next elections by a huge margin."

He directed the central leaders present at the Natore District Awami League Conference to identify and punish those who were involved in the clashes.

Obaidul Quader said that all the development of the country will be ruined if they themselves get involved in the conflict ahead of the elections. The Awami League will take part in another election with the pride of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's development.

Quader said a list of names of those involved in misdeeds and tarnishing the image of the party in the Union Parishad elections was being compiled, adding that strict organizational measures would be taken against them.

Mentioning that BNP is now in a ditch after failing in the movement and elections, Obaidul Quader said BNP can not do anything if the Awami Leage stays united.

Responding to BNP leaders' remarks that Awami League will not be able to come to power in the next election, Awami League's General Secretary Quader said, "BNP's shouts are increasing as the election is coming, but BNP is not afraid of their shouts."

Obaidul Quader said sacrificers are the lifeblood of Awami League, so, the sacrificers should be evaluated at the time of formation of the committee.
