Obaidul Quader's urges BNP to remove thoughts of caretaker government
Dhaka, September 30: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader urged BNP to cast off the ghost of the caretaker government.
He said, "Awami League is not afraid of BNP's movement, Awami League is ready and alert."
He said, "Awami League came to power from the streets. So there is no use in making Awami League afraid of movement."
He said this at a discussion meeting organized by Awami Swachhasebak League at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University auditorium on Thursday (September 29) on the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's birthday.
Addressing the party's public representatives and activists, Quader said, "No one will be spared who commits misdeeds in the name of the party."
Obaidul Quader warned the BNP once again and said, "If you come down with the national flag with a stick, it is news. Insulting the national flag cannot be accepted in any way."
Obaidul Quader said in reference to BNP leaders announcing a new blockade, why did they announce a new blockade instead of lifting their previous blockade. He advised the journalists to ask Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir to know that.
He said, "The upcoming elections will be held on time as per the constitution. The government will only perform routine duties during the election period."
Later, on the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's birthday, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader gave special gifts to the representatives of the children who were born on September 28.
