One dead, 678 test positive for Covid across Bangladesh on Thursday

Dhaka, September 22: One person died across the country in 24 hours from Wednesday 8 am to Thursday 8 am due to the coronavirus. The deceased was a resident of Dhaka division, aged between 51-60 years. With this, the number of deaths due to coronavirus in the country has increased to 29,345 people.

At the same time, 678 new patients were identified. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of confirmed cases in the country has increased to 20,20,148 people. Considering the sample test in the last 24 hours, the detection rate was 14.13 percent.

So far, the average rate of detection is 13.61 percent.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 4,812 samples were collected and 4,798 samples were tested in 881 labs across the country in 24 hours between Wednesday and Thursday.

Meanwhile, 339 people have recovered from coronavirus in a day. So far 19,61,819 people have recovered from the disease.
