Chittagong Fire One killed in Chittagong cooperative market fire
Dhaka, February 22: One person died in a fire incident at a cooperative market in Andarkilla area of Chittagong.
The fire incident took place around 12:20 am on Tuesday. A shop owner of that market named Md. Idris was killed in this incident.
Confirming the matter, Senior Station Officer of Nandankanan Fire Service Mohammad Ali said, "A shopkeeper died due to burns in the cooperative market of Tinshed in Andarkilla area. Five units from three stations at Nandkanan, Agrabad, and Chandanpura worked to control the fire and the fire was brought under control by 1.30 am.”

Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Zahidul Kabir said that the body of Md. Idris, the owner of Alam Engineering lathe machine shop in the market, had been recovered. The extent of the damage is not yet known.
