Own representative, Dhaka, 24 January 2021: After buying onions, some parts rot before use.

But if this onion is kept in powder, there is no fear of contamination. The quality is maintained for two years if stored well in powder form. If onions can be preserved in this way, there is no need to worry about onion spoilage in the country.

The technology of making raw onion powder has been invented by the agronomist of Shibganj Spice Research Center in Bogra. Masud Alam. Initially, the powder was tested by him and found to be 100% accurate. This onion powder is now being marketed.

At least 30 percent of onions are spoiled before use in food after collection from the field. According to data from the Spice Research Center, a family of four or five needs an average of five kilograms of onions a month.

As such, a family needs 60 kg of onion per year. The family needs 60 kg of onion per year, they have to buy at least 60 kg.

Because after buying onion, some parts rot before use. But if this onion is kept in powder, there is no fear of rot. If the powder is stored well, its quality is maintained for the next two years. The quality of onion processing powder does not reduce its quality and quantity of food. One kg of dried onion powder gives 100 to 200 grams. It usually takes 250 grams of raw onion to cook one kg of meat. If you grind 250 grams of raw onion, you will get 25 grams. As such, if you use that 25 grams of powder in cooking one kg of meat, you will get 250 grams of raw onion fruit. It will cost less.

Dr. has been working on onion powder processing method since 2009. Masud Alam. It took five years for this study to succeed. Even then, various experiments were carried out for about six years. Onion powder in its invented method is currently in the process of being marketed commercially.
