Bangladesh Onions will arrive by train from India in 3 days
Dhaka, March 24, 2024 : Indian onions will arrive in Bangladesh by train within the next three days, said Commerce State Minister Ahsanul Islam Titu.
He said this to the reporters before attending the reception of state ministers and MPs and the meeting of the working members of the press club organized by the Tangail Press Club on Saturday (March 23) afternoon.
The state minister for commerce said that onion will be taken by train from India today or tomorrow. Indian onion will enter Bangladesh in next three days. I am not aware of any problem with onions coming from India.
He said that the market will run at its own pace. If there is an increase of 5-10 taka, even if nothing is done about it, if someone hoards, action will be taken against him. There is no need for any police action or magisterial action by the Ministry of Commerce for normal trading in the market. There is ample supply of the product in the market and the prices are also at a reasonable level.
Ahsanul Islam Titu said that rice is a matter of the Ministry of Food. For this reason, it will not be right to say anything about another ministry. Deputy Commissioner Kaycharul Islam, Superintendent of Police Sarkar Mohammad Qaiser, Tangail Press Club President Advocate Zafar Ahmed and others were present on the occasion.
