Dhaka, February 11: Following the proper hygiene rules, the activities of the first year undergraduate (honors) class of Dhaka University in the 2020-2021 academic year will start physically from February 22. A press release issued by the Public Relations Department of DU on Friday (February 11) said that the class activities of the first year students admitted to DU will start physically from February 22 following proper hygiene rules. In addition, the test will continue according to the pre-announced routine.

Students admitted to the first year undergraduate (honors) class of DU in the 2020-2021 academic year took part in physical class activities before the government announced closure in the current corona infection situation. Although the day of commencement of classes was different in all the faculties, all the departments were starting classes even before the closure announced by the government. Currently online classes are taking place.

Classes of the departments of the Faculty of Fine Arts start on January 1. Departments of the faculties of Science, Biology, Pharmacy, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Engineering and Technology, and the Institute of Nutrition and Food Science, Institute of Information Technology, and Institute of Leather Engineering. Classes in the departments of the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Institute of Education and Research, Institute of Social Welfare and Research began on 16 January. Later, it was stopped due to increase in corona infection in the country.
