Bangladesh Opponents will be dealt with politically: Obaidul Quader
Dhaka, 14 January 2024 : Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that the boycotters have not retreated yet.
"Now they (BNP) have started a new conspiracy," he said.
He said this to reporters after the new cabinet paid tribute at the tomb of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara on Saturday.
Obaidul Quader said that BNP has started a conspiracy so that this government cannot exist.
"They look to their foreign friends," he said.
He said that Sheikh Hasina does not care about bans and visa restrictions. The activities of Sheikh Hasina government are being conducted on the principle of friendship with all, not enmity with anyone.
Stating that the political opponents will be dealt with politically, he said that even in the global crisis, the main goal of the Awami League government will be to implement the declared manifesto.
"Many obstacles may arise. If someone does terrorism, unrest, violence in politics, then it has to be dealt with. Opposition parties will be dealt with fair politics," he said.
He also said that our political program will continue.
"But if the element of violence is added, everything must be done to deal with the situation that arises. We will not sit back if someone violently attacks us. In that case, some administrative, some political programs have to be dealt with," he said.
