Dhaka, Jan 3: Election Commissioner (EC) Anisur Rahman said the EC's objective is one and that is a free, fair and acceptable election. For this reason, maximum judicial judges have been appointed.

He said that everyone will fulfill their responsibilities to make the 12th National Assembly elections free, fair and acceptable. Violence has been less this time compared to any other election in the past. The massive violence and loss of life and property that happened in 2014 will not happen this time.

He said these in the speech of the chief guest at the training programme of executive magistrates at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital on Tuesday. 828 magistrates are undergoing training in the third phase. They will be on duty for five days including polling day.

Anisur Rahman said, "We think it is our moral responsibility and duty to make voting free and acceptable. Responsibilities of the state The constitution clearly mentions that all the executive departments of the state will assist the election commission to conduct fair voting during the elections. It is everyone's responsibility to assist the Election Commission. As a part of that, we will all fulfill our constitutional duties. In no way can this election be allowed to be questioned. When action needs to be taken, action should be taken quickly without delay."

"One should work with honesty and devotion in fulfilling the responsibility," he added.
