Over 1,000 people affected by dengue in July

Dhaka, July 22: A total of 1,013 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals in the first 22 days of July this year. Of these, 25 have been admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours. A total of 1,385 dengue patients have been admitted to the hospital from January this year to Thursday (July 22).

This was stated in a report on dengue signed by Dr. Kamrul Kibria, Assistant Director of Health Information Unit of the Directorate General of Health Services.

According to the report, 25 more dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals in the last 24 hours across the country, including the capital. The total number of patients currently being treated at the hospital stood at 412. Of them, 409 are undergoing treatment at various government and private hospitals in Dhaka. The other three are being treated at hospitals outside Dhaka.

According to the statistics, from January 1 to July 22 this year, a total of 1,385 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country, including the capital. Among them, 970 patients have returned home healthy.

A total of 32 patients were admitted in January this year, nine in February, 13 in March, three in April, 43 in May, 272 in June and 1,013 till July 22.
