Over 5 crore coronavirus vaccine administered in Bangladesh

Dhaka, October 1: Bangladesh has administered over 5,00,00,000 vaccine doses against the coronavirus, so far. A total of 5,02,45,255 doses of vaccine have been used, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The first dose has been received by 3,33,25,007 people, while, 1,69,20,248 people have been fully jabbed.

The DGHS said, 7,71,259 people have received the jab on Thursday. Among them, 6,32,897 people received the first dose of the vaccine and 1,38,362 people took the second jab.

A total of 4,90,87,728 people have registered for the vaccine, of which 4,84,45,243 people have done it with the NID and 6,42,485 people have used their passport.

Bangladesh started vaccination against the coronavirus on January 27, with the Oxford-AstraZeneca jab.
