Dhaka, August 12: If the buses plying on the capital's roads do not have the prescribed fare chart of BRTA, then that vehicle will be fined and this will continue, said Noor Mohammad Majumder, chairman of the organisation. He said this while talking to reporters after visiting Mohakhali Bus Terminal in the capital on Friday (August 12) afternoon.

Recently, the government has increased the price of fuel oil. In coordination with this, the transport fare including bus-minibus has also been rescheduled. The Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) has prepared a fare chart for the transport partners according to the distance to comply with the fare set by the government. But this chart is not visible in all transports of Dhaka and complaints are heard that many transports are charging additional fares of this chart.

Noor Mohammad Majumder told reporters that BRTA is taking appropriate steps to stop collecting excess fare. If a vehicle does not have a fare chart, they are fined in mobile courts (mobile courts). It will continue.

The diesel bus fares may increase due to the increase in fuel prices by the government, but many CNG buses are also seeing an increase in fares, when pointed out, the BRTA chairman said, when the fares were revised last November (after the CNG price hike), the vehicles had stickers in front of them, which CNG powered, which is diesel powered. I urge the owner to display this sticker immediately.
