Obaidul Quader Permission for motorcycle movement on Padma Setu is PM's Eid gift: Quader
Dhaka, April 21: Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has commented that permission to move motorcycles on Padma Setu is Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Eid gift.
He said this at theObaidul Quader said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has allowed the movement of motorcycles as an Eid gift for the young generation. The movement was earlier stopped due to irregularities. Consciousness has awakened among people, so motorcycles have been allowed again.
The Bridges Minister said that the motorcycle should be driven in compliance with all the rules, including the speed of 60 km, refraining from taking pictures and standing.
He said, if the rules are violated, the movement may be stopped again. Violators will be punished. Adequate arrangements have been made for security.
At this time, Obaidul Quader thanked the bikers for riding motorcycles according to the rules and urged them to continue this trend of discipline. Later, Obaidul Quader observed the movement of motorcycles on the ground including Mawa and Jajira ends of the Padma Bridge and paid the toll of the Padma Bridge himself.
