If the ED or CBI arrests an accused, it conducts a medical checkup once before presenting it in court. As part of this, six people arrested last Saturday underwent a medical checkup. Then today was the second checkup.

Earlier, PK Haldar was interrogated at the ED office of CGO Complex in Kolkata. Although he did not cooperate at first, he later cooperated with the ED officials. PK Haldar and his associates were interrogated separately.

Although he did not cooperate much during the first interrogation, he broke down in tears in front of the ED officials during the second interrogation. At that time, he assured all kinds of cooperation. It is learned that four ED officials are interrogating him.

ED officials raided the offices of PK Haldar and his associates all day last Friday and recovered huge amount of cash. PK Haldar, Uttam Mitra, Pritish Haldar and Pritish Haldar's wife and son-in-law Sanjeev Haldar were arrested from different areas including North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas and Katwa of Purba Bardhaman. They were then taken to the CGO complex in Salt Lake.

After the medical checkup, the documents were submitted to the special court of Bankshal CBI online. Later, the ED applied to the court to take five persons including PK Haldar into their custody. The court remanded five people in ED custody and ordered to send one woman to jail custody.

They will be produced again in the Bankshal CBI Special Court on May 17. It is believed that a case will be registered against PK Haldar under 21 to 22 sections.
