Sheikh Hasina PM directs ECNEC to complete delayed development projects quickly
Dhaka, Feb 13: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has emphasized on rural development, besides building infrastructure.
She said, "I think overall development of rural areas is also necessary along with infrastructural development."
She said these at the meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday (February 13).
The Prime Minister directed the concerned authorities to speedily complete the development projects which have been delayed due to insufficient funding.
She said, "I will ask the cabinet secretary to inform all the secretaries of various ministries about the matter, so that such projects are completed quickly."
The Prime Minister said, “Once these projects are completed, it will be easier for the government to take up new development programs. Although some development projects have been extended, they also have to be completed very soon. Because, if they are unfinished, the cost of the projects will increase unnecessarily and time will also be wasted. Make sure they are done.”
She said, "The government must take development projects for the socio-economic development of the country." In this context, the PM urged everyone to be careful while undertaking any kind of development project to achieve the government's goals.
