Dhaka, October 28: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that Bangladesh's foreign policy is very clear - friendship with all, enmity with none.

"We don’t want to fight with anyone, we want to be friends with everyone. With this friendly relationship we want to develop Bangladesh socio-economically. But if we ever get attacked, we want to have the strength to deal with it."

The Prime Minister said this while handing over the national flag to eight units / agencies of Bangladesh Army through video conferencing from Ganobhaban on Wednesday (October 28) morning.

Addressing the army, the Prime Minister said the Bangladesh Army is a symbol of trust and confidence of the people of the country.

She said, "Professionalism and training is the first requirement to work for the country as a member of the army. And to achieve this desired standard of professionalism, all of you must be professionally competent, socially and religiously motivated and lead an honest and prosperous life. You need to be united and ready to deal with any threats, internal or external."

"We do not want animosity, we do not want war. Because I have seen the horrible form of war. We are also victims of it. So we do not want to be involved in such conflicts anymore," she said.
