President-PM PM holds courtesy meeting with President at Bangabhaban
Dhaka, April 17: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid a courtesy call on President Md. Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Sunday evening.
President's Press Secretary Md. Zainal Abedin said, "During the meeting, they discussed various state issues. The Prime Minister briefed the President on her recent visit to Qatar."
The President thanked the Prime Minister and her government for their cooperation in his two terms of office. The Prime Minister congratulated President Hamid for serving two terms.
Earlier in the evening, the President greeted the Prime Minister with flowers on her arrival at Bangabhaban. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the Iftar and Monaja with the members of the President's family.
Cabinet Secretary, Prime Minister's Principal Secretary and Secretaries of the Office of the President and Prime Minister were present at this time. Before Iftar, a special prayer is offered for the welfare of the country, nation and Muslim Ummah.
