PM's ICT Advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy's resignation accepted

Dhaka, Nov 30: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy has resigned. Prime Minister's Assistant Press Secretary-1 M.M. Imrul Kayes confirmed that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has accepted his resignation letter.

Sajeeb Wazed was appointed as an advisor to the Prime Minister on January 15, 2019 after the 11th Parliament election. His appointment was unpaid. In the previous term also, Sajeeb Wazed was the Information and Communication Technology advisor to the Prime Minister.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister's Assistant Press Secretary-1 M.M. Imrul Kayes said that Sajeeb Wazed has submitted his resignation letter. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has accepted the resignation letter.

At the same time, the resignations of three technocrat ministers and state ministers and three advisors to the prime minister were accepted. The ministers are: Science and Technology Minister Yafes Osman; Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar and State Planning Minister Shamsul Alam. The three advisors of the Prime Minister are: economic affairs advisor Mosiur Rahman; Advisor on Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Tawfiq-e-Ilahi Chowdhury and Advisor on International Relations Gauhar Rizvi. The Cabinet Department has issued a notification in this regard today.
