PM Sheikh Hasina meets President

President's press secretary Zainal Abedin told BASS, "The Prime Minister discussed various matters of state importance."

These include his recent visits to Japan, UK and USA. The Head of Government briefed the President about his recent tripartite visit.

President Sahabuddin thanked and congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the successful visit. The Prime Minister's visit will further expand bilateral and multilateral relations, including trade and investment with Japan, the United States and the United Kingdom, the head of state hoped. During the meeting, President Sahabuddin gifted his book 'Egye Jabe Bangladesh' to the Prime Minister.

The spokesperson of Banga Bhavan also said that the President and the Prime Minister inquired about each other's health during the meeting. The secretaries of the office of the President and the Prime Minister were present at this time.

Earlier, the Prime Minister reached Bangabhaban at 7:30 pm. President Sahabuddin and his wife Dr. Rebecca Sultana welcomed the Prime Minister with a bouquet of flowers. The Prime Minister also presented a bouquet of flowers to the Head of State. The meeting was attended by the concerned secretaries and senior officers of the office of the President and Prime Minister.
