Dhaka, September 10: Almost a year later, a meeting of the ruling Awami League's executive body was held on Thursday (September 9). At the highest policy-making forum, the organizational picture of eight divisions across the country was presented. The issue of conflict came up while establish the authority of the MPs along with the leaders in different districts and upazilas of the country. At the meeting, the three central leaders also spoke against each other over Madaripur.

After hearing all this, Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave various instructions to prepare for the next elections by resolving conflicts and quarrels across the country, preparing manifestos, organizing three district conferences discussed in the conflict, and taking action against social media propaganda.

The Prime Minister directed to check and select anyone who is found to be a rebel or accused in the election before deciding to expel him/her. She also spoke of giving other punishments if necessary. The Awami League president also directed to consult the central leaders in their respective areas in forming district and upazila committees.

She said, "Central leaders should not be neglected." Besides, Sheikh Hasina directed to bring resigned leaders in the committee.

In the report of the organizational editors, the issue of distance, quarrels and formation of factions of the leaders and workers with the MPs in at least 20-25 districts came up.

"MP nomination is given in various reports. They became MPs in the party nominations. After becoming an MP, some people became desperate to run the party as they wished. This pushed away the long-serving and tested leaders and workers of the grassroots. Some of them became the president-general secretary of the upazila to take all the authority again. Why do MPs have to take everything? MPs will not be wary of the party. The team will run at its own pace. The committee will consist of leaders. The MP will cooperate with the team. I will not tolerate any excess. Who has what, where, I have all the information," the Prime Minister said.

Recently, chaos has been created in different districts. The party president has also received several complaints. The issue has also come up in the reports of various organizations. That is why the Awami League president instructed the MPs not to form separate constituencies.

At the same time, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina directed to start preparations for the 12th National Assembly elections from now on.

After the meeting, Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader told reporters that the Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina had given directions to prepare for the 12th parliamentary elections, which is scheduled for December, 2023.
