Sheikh Hasina | Eid-ul-Azha PM urges to work for welfare of mankind inspired by spirit of Eid-ul-Azha
Dhaka, June 29: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called upon the second largest festival of the Muslim Ummah, Eid-ul-Azha, to devote oneself to the welfare of mankind, inspired by the spirit of sacrifice. Eid-ul-Azha festival is being celebrated today.
In a video message to greet the countrymen on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha, she said, "Dear countrymen, As-salamu alaykum, the holy Eid-ul-Azha or Eid of Sacrifice has returned to our lives after a year. Sacrifice means giving up. By giving up pettiness, meanness, pride and selfishness, the Eid of Sacrifice becomes meaningful."
She said, "Invigorated by the glory of sacrifice, let us devote ourselves to the welfare of mankind and share our joys by maintaining the bonds of friendship and brotherhood."
At the end of the message she said, "Everyone stay well, stay safe, stay healthy, God Hafez, Eid Mubarak."
