Dhaka, July 29: On the seventh day of the ongoing lockdown, a strict police checking was going on at the Shahbagh intersection of the capital since morning. The cops stopped a car with 'Emergency Patient' sticker it. However, there was no patient in the car. Later, the cops filed a case against the driver and fined Tk 3,000 for driving around without any reason.

From Thursday (July 29) morning at the Shahbagh intersection police checkpost, it was seen that the number of vehicles has increased as compared to the last few days, so the movement of people has increased.

The check post, headed by Sergeant Rezaul Islam of Shahbagh Zone, questioned everyone traveling in rickshaws, private cars, motorcycles and other private vehicles and took legal action if they did not respond satisfactorily.

Confirming the fine imposed to the car, the cop said, "Since this morning, four vehicles have been placed in the wrecker and cases have been registered against five vehicles. Four car were fined Tk 6,000 and five cases yielded a fine of Tk 15,000."
