Police Week Police Week 2023: 115 officers awarded medals
Dhaka, Jan 3: In 2022, 115 police officers were awarded Bangladesh Police Medal BPM and President Police Medal PPM in recognition of bravery and heroic deeds. On Tuesday (January 3) at 10:30 am, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina put on the badges of the police officers who received medals at Rajarbagh Police Lines in the capital.
Earlier on January 1, a notification from the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs informed that 115 police officers are receiving the Bangladesh Police Medal BPM and the President Police Medal PPM during Police Week.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of Police Week, the Prime Minister personally participated in the event. She visited the parade riding in an open jeep.
Khulna Range Superintendent of Police Kazi Moin Uddin led the police parade as captain. Thousands of policemen participated in the parade led by him.
The main theme of this year's police week is 'Bangabandhu's Bangladesh, the police are on the side of the people'. The Police Week program will continue till January 8.
