Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 4 December 2023: Dhaka Metropolitan Intelligence Police (DB) Additional Commissioner Mohammad Haroon Or Rasheed said, "Those who are calling for blockade have no leader on the ground. Some hired people are trying to set fire. Those who are sabotaging are under the law. Detective police are working to bring it under control." He said these things while talking to reporters at his office on Minto Road in the capital on Monday afternoon.

Haroon Or Rasheed said, "A lot of vehicles ply on the roads even during the blockade-hartal. There is traffic jam on the roads. None of those who are calling the blockade are in the field. Some hired people try to set fire, try to throw cocktails. We are arresting them. "

He further said, "Those who have been arrested have admitted that their elder brother is giving money. We have also arrested those brothers. After the arrest, they have confessed their responsibility in court under Section 164. Every team of our detective police is working."

The DB chief said, "We have got the names and numbers of those who are causing such incidents. No one will be spared."

When asked whether there is any major sabotage plan ahead of the elections, the DB chief said, "After the announcement of the schedule, law enforcement and intelligence police are working under the direction of the Election Commission. We think that those who obstruct the fair elections and try to disrupt law and order will be brought under the law." Everything is not going to stop just by setting fire to broken down cars. They are trying to terrorize people by setting fires in isolated places. Strict action will be taken against them. People are not reacting to these isolated incidents. People are out on the streets in need of life. Thana police and detectives. The police are on the ground."

Arrest letters have been given to the top terrorists listed by the Election Commission.
