Power Tariff Power tariff will be adjusted every month
Dhaka, January 28: State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Nasrul Hamid Bipu, said that from now on, electricity tariffs will be adjusted every month.
He said, "We have said that every month we will make some adjustments. That is what is going on now. Every month we will adjust it little by little."
The State Minister inaugurated the 14th DRMC-Summit National Science Fair-2023 at Dhaka Residential Model College in the capital on Friday. He said this in response to a question from journalists after the opening ceremony.
Nasrul Hamid Bipu said, "Many people run pumps all day for irrigation in many places. We have fixed a time. During this period you will use electricity for irrigation. But in some places, there are problems with it. It's not a problem, we're fixing it. Overall the situation will be better, especially from next month."
When asked about the problem of load shedding and irrigation, the Minister of State for Power said that load shedding is not like that. We are managing from different places. Run the irrigator at the scheduled time for those whose irrigation is interrupted. It will be a problem if it continues all day.
Regarding the increase in gas prices, the state minister said that the gas prices have been determined in coordination with the world market. Our goal is to arrange how we can supply gas uninterruptedly from April. We hope to be able to provide Bhola gas within the next one-two month.
