President calls for better training to enhance the skills of judges

Dhaka, September 17: President Mohammad Abdul Hamid has directed the Judicial Service Commission to take steps to enable judges to acquire skills in information technology besides appointing judges.

The President said that although the judicial process has already been launched in a virtual manner, it is necessary to increase its scope. President Abdul Hamid also emphasized on enhanced training to enhance the professional skills of judges. He made the comment while the members of the Judicial Service Commission, including its chairman, presented the annual report to the President at Bangabhaban on Thursday (September 16) evening.

Commission members Justice Md. Nazrul Islam Talukder, Justice Sahidul Karim, Attorney General Abu Mohammad Amin Uddin and Law and Justice Secretary Md. Golam Sarwar were present on the occasion.

The Chairman of the Judicial Service Commission briefed the President on the overall activities of the Commission and various aspects of the annual report.

Secretary to the President's Office Sampad Barua, Military Secretary Major General SM Salah Uddin Islam, Press Secretary Md. Joynal Abedin and Secretary (Joint) Wahidul Islam Khan were present on the occasion.
