President exchanges greetings with journalists working in Parliament

Dhaka, Jan 6: President Md. Abdul Hamid greeted and exchanged views with the journalists working in the National Parliament. On Thursday (January 5), he exchanged views in the press lounge of the National Parliament. It was his last visit to Parliament as President.

He went to the press lounge after delivering the constitutional address to the 21st and first session of the 11th National Parliament. Around 5:00 pm, he exchanged New Year's greetings with journalists for about an hour.

During this time, he reminisced about the various issues of the National Parliament as he was the speaker. In his characteristic manner, the President bantered with reporters on various topics.

Bangladesh Parliament Journalists Association (BPJA) President Haroon Al Rashid, General Secretary Nafiza Daula, Treasurer Sirajuzzaman and others were present. Abdul Hamid will retire from the post of President on April 23.

Before this, strict security arrangements were made in the Parliament area by the Special Security Force (SSF) as the President would arrive. Every journalist and visitor is searched. Members of Parliament ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury and Atiur Rahman Atiq, senior officials of the Parliament were present.
