President Hamid gets vaccinated

Dhaka, March 11: President Md. Abdul Hamid has been vaccinated against coronavirus. On Wednesday (March 10), the president took the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. President's Press Secretary Md. Joynal Abedin told reporters. 

He said the President took the vaccine at Bangabhaban at 5 pm on Wednesday. On the same day, the President's wife Rashida Khanam also took the corona vaccine.

Earlier on March 4, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and February 14 Speaker. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury has taken corona vaccine.

Vaccination activities started in Bangladesh on January 27 by vaccinating a nurse of Kurmitola General Hospital in the capital. Then on February 7, mass vaccination started all over the country.

According to the Ministry of Health, vaccination has started across the country on February 8 and so far 4,013,963 people have received the first dose of coronavirus vaccine.
