Bangladesh's Test Win President, Prime Minister congratulate Tigers on historic Test victory in New Zealand
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, January 6: President Mohammad Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina congratulated the Bangladesh cricket team on winning the first Test on New Zealand soil. In a separate message to the media on Wednesday (January 5th), they congratulated everyone involved, including the players, coaches and managers.
The President and the Prime Minister hoped that the Tigers' winning streak would continue in the future as well.
Earlier, Bangladesh won the first Test of the series by 8 wickets at the Bay Oval in Mount Managua. This is the Tigers' first win in any format on New Zealand soil. The Kiwis lost after 17 Tests unbeaten at home.
Bangladesh went ahead 1-0 in the two-match series with this victory, also secured the first point in the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23.
