Dhaka, 03 November 2020: The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education is thinking of opening government primary schools from November 15. To that end, work has been started to create a 30-day short syllabus to build the basic competency of the students' textbooks. When the school is opened, that short syllabus will be completed and admitted to the next class.

Sources in the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education said that although a short syllabus of 39 days was supposed to be implemented in government primary schools, it was not possible to extend it by another 14 days.

For this reason, the National Academy of Primary Education (NAPE) has started the work of making a new 30-day short syllabus.

This syllabus is being prepared to build the reading ability of the students.

If it is possible to open the educational institution by November 15, it will be implemented and the students will be taken to the next class.

And if it is not possible to open an educational institution, then the respective educational institutions will distribute certificates to all classes, including the fifth grade, in their own way.

The new syllabus is being developed with the aim of building students' learning ability by adding important subjects in all subjects of each primary class. The new syllabus will be sent to the Department of Primary Education next week.

On condition of anonymity, an additional secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education said that the government is thinking of opening a primary school from November 15. If the situation is favorable, if it is possible to open a primary school, the short syllabus will be implemented and the students will pass to the next class.
