Prime Minister calls on rich countries to finance the health sector
Dhaka, May 12: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called on rich countries to increase aid in the global health sector. She said that the rich countries of the world should finance to ensure universal health care. Funds should be created for this.
She said these things at an event on Smart Bangladesh at Hotel Intercontinental in the capital on Thursday afternoon. The Prime Minister said that the Awami League government has established 18,000 community clinics to ensure the health care of women and children in rural towns. Sheikh Hasina said that doctors should give more importance to research. So that the marginalized people get basic health care easily. At this time, the Prime Minister emphasized on increasing skilled manpower in medical science and medical technology.
She said that everyone has been vaccinated against Corona. Bangladesh has many successes in poverty alleviation. The poverty rate has been brought down to 18.7 percent.
