Dhaka, October 29: Expressing fears of an outbreak of coronavirus (Covid-19) during the upcoming winter, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has asked the people to be vigilant. The Prime Minister made the call on Thursday (October 28) at a blanket receiving ceremony. She joined the function through video conference from Ganobhaban.

The Prime Minister said, "It has been witnessed that during the winter the rate of coronavirus infections increases across the world. Even in the United States, England, or various countries in Europe, its prevalence is already increasing."

"It simply came to our notice then. Now it's time to be careful again. And if we can be careful, Inshallah, this outbreak will not be able to attack our Bangladesh. When winter comes, you get cold and cough, and if you have a cold or cough, you have to be careful about the coronavirus."

The Prime Minister said, "I urge the people of Bangladesh to be vigilant in this regard. As if the outbreak of this coronavirus does not occur again. Everyone has to be careful."

Calling on everyone to wear a mask, she said, "The mask must be worn. If you wear this mask, if someone gets infected and comes to talk, you will not get infected yourself."

Stating that people who have been vaccinated can also infect others with the coronavirus, she said, "You may not understand that much, but you might be infecting others. I think the countrymen should be more careful about this from now on. We need more publicity, we need to warn people."

The Prime Minister advised everyone to eat more vitamin C-rich vegetables including mango, hog plum, lemon, orange, grapefruit and tomato to increase immunity in the body.
