Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returns back to Bangladesh after Qatar visit

Dhaka, May 25: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has returned home after a three-day official visit to Qatar. The flight carrying her landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday (May 25) morning.

Earlier, a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage left Doha's Hamad International Airport at 10:25 pm Qatar local time (May 24) at 10:25 pm (Bangladesh time).

The Prime Minister arrived in Doha on May 22 to attend the third Qatar Economic Forum (QEF) at the invitation of Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

During the visit, Sheikh Hasina, besides attending the Qatar Economic Forum, met with the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at the Amiri Diwan, held a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Qatar Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani and met with Rwandan President Paul Kagame.

Besides, Qatar's Minister of State for Energy Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi and Saudi Arabia's Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih and Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim met the Prime Minister together.

Sheikh Hasina addressed the students of Qatar University and visited Awsaz Academy, a specialized school for children with special needs run under the Qatar Foundation in Doha.
