Dhaka, September 28: Today is the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, a visionary and strong leader of the country. She was born on September 28, 1947 at Tungipara in Gopalganj. The great architect of independent Bangladesh is the eldest child of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesa and is the current President of Bangladesh Awami League.

The Prime Minister is in the United States currently to attend the 76th session of the UN General Assembly. In her absence, various socio-cultural organizations, including the Awami League, will celebrate the day in a festive atmosphere through various programs.

The Awami League has organized a discussion meeting at Bangabandhu International Conference Center at 10:30 am as part of its central program on the occasion of her birthday. Besides, prayers and milad mahfils will be held in all mosques of the country, including Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, on the same day.

At the same time, special prayers will be held at International Buddhist Monastery (Merul Badda) at 6:30 pm, Christian Association of Bangladesh (CAB) Mirpur Baptist Church (29 Senpara, Parbata, Mirpur-10) at 6:00 am, at Rani's Church and Dhakeswari Temple at 5:00 pm. Central leaders of Bangladesh Awami League will be present in these programs.

Following in the footsteps of her father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Prime Minister addressed the UN General Assembly in Bengali on September 24 with the participation of other world leaders. Earlier, she was awarded the UN SDG Progress Award.

In response to the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network's (SDSN) universal call for action to eradicate poverty, protect the world and ensure peace and prosperity for all, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was awarded the 'SDG Progress Award' for moving Bangladesh on the right path.

The award is an important international recognition of Bangladesh's success in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) after achieving it in various fields.

Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is a successful Prime Minister of Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina is serving as the Prime Minister for the fourth time. Under her leadership, Bangladesh is advancing in every index of the economy. She has introduced Bangladesh to the world as a role model.

Prime Minister Hasina has been praised by world leaders for suppressing terrorism and militancy and providing shelter to Rohingya Muslims fleeing ethnic violence in Myanmar. She has taken Bangladesh to a unique height. Despite the coronavirus pandemic, the dynamic leadership of the Prime Minister has enabled the country to grow above all other countries in Asia.
