Prime Minister will be leaving for the UAE this afternoon
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, March 7: After taking part in various programmes on the occation of the historic March 7, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is leaving for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this (Monday) afternoon for a six-day visit.
Sources in the Prime Minister's Office confirmed the information on Sunday (March 6).
According to the schedule, the Prime Minister will leave Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Abu Dhabi on March 7 at 4 pm. After the six-day visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to return to the country on March 12.
She took part in various programmes from Monday morning. The Prime Minister paid homage to the portrait of the Father of the Nation at Bangabandhu Bhaban premise at 7 am. Later, at 9:30 am, she released commemorative stamps, inaugural envelopes and seals issued on the occasion of the historic March 7 at Ganobhaban. At 10 am, on the occasion of March 7, she virtually took part in an official programme at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre from Ganobhaban.
Besides, she presided over a discussion on the occation of historic March 7 held at the Awami League's central office at 11:30 am through a video conference from Ganobhaban.
