Dhaka, March 7: The fire incident in the Rohingya camp is being investigated whether it was sabotage or not. Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said this in response to questions from journalists in his office at the Secretariat on Monday after the meeting on law and order on the occasion of Genocide Day on March 25, the Independence and National Day on March 26.

When asked about the fire in the Rohingya camp, the minister said, "We are looking into whether it is a sabotage or a conspiracy or not. In the Rohingya camp, they cook in cylinders. We have seven fire service units nearby. Temporary camps are quickly destroyed by fire. That's how it happened."

He said, however, we are investigating how the accident happened. If there are any indications of sabotage, conspiracy or any other kind, we will look into them. We are working on that. Provision has been made for those who have become homeless. We have made a huge arrangement at Bhasanchar, taking those who want to go there voluntarily.

Regarding the attack on the jalsa of the Ahmadiyya community in Panchagarh, the Home Minister said that there have been seven cases. 81 people have been arrested. BNP leader Fazle Rabbi is among them. He admitted that he was coming to close the rally. He also led behind the scenes. The Home Minister also said that strict action will be taken against those who spread rumors using social media.
