Quader calls for patience during load-shedding

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, July 8: Mentioning that there are power crisis all over the world nowadays, Obaidul Quader, General Secretary of the Awami League and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges, has called upon all to deal with the problem with patience.

He said, "There are reports of load-sheddings somewhere. It is temporary, I urge the people to be patient in this load-shedding. I urge you to cooperate with patience. Sheikh Hasina has given 100 percent electricity, that 100 percent electricity will remain 100 percent."

Obaidul Quader made the call while addressing the introductory meeting of the newly formed unit president-general secretaries organized by Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League as the chief guest on Thursday. The introductory meeting was held at the auditorium of the Institution of Engineers in the capital.

The general secretary of the Awami League said that the Ukraine-Russia war has increased the price of fuel worldwide. Look at Europe, look at America, look at the neighboring countries. Today this problem is not only in Bangladesh. Problems are fuel supply and price.

He said that with honest and efficient leaders like Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in power, Bangladesh is still keeping pace with the world and maintaining balance in the world economy.

Obaidul Quader urged the people of the country including party leaders and workers not to be disappointed and said, "Don't be disappointed. Keep faith in Sheikh Hasina. She is awake so that the people of Bangladesh can sleep. Sheikh Hasina is trying to alleviate the current crisis in our country."
