Dhaka, December 26, 2021: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has protested against the statement of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir published in the media. He warned Fakhrul in a statement on Saturday (December 25th).

Obaidul Quader said that the statement made by BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Begum calling Khaleda Zia a woman freedom fighter was like a 'dark story' of Bengali literature. By calling Khaleda Zia a freedom fighter, Mirza Fakhrul has in fact made a mockery of the heroism of the heroic women who took part in the 1971 war and mocking the sacrifices of the heroic freedom fighters. Because the anti-liberation forces are the only source of power of BNP.

"We hope the BNP leaders will refrain from such fabricated stories," he said. They should realize that the BNP has been repeatedly rejected by the people for engaging in such arrogant and racist activities as distorting the history of the great liberation war.

In the statement, Obaidul Quader further said that BNP leaders including Mirza Fakhrul Islam have talked about money laundering abroad. The people of the country know who are the main culprits of this money laundering and have looted thousands of crores of rupees by creating Hawa Bhaban and smuggling it abroad. Repeatedly world champions and money launderers in corruption, money laundering in the mouths of BNP leaders is nothing but the name of Ram in the face of ghosts!

He said that under the able leadership of Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh is making unprecedented progress in all socio-economic indicators. The living standards of the people have been greatly improved. As the country's money is in the country, investment is gradually increasing. Inflation is under control because there is economic discipline and good governance.
