RAB RAB arrests 4 members of inter-district thief gang from Comilla
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, Sept 9: RAB-4 has arrested four members of an inter-district thief gang from Beltali area of Comilla Sadar Dakshin Upazila and seized exportable stolen garment products worth about Tk 4 crore and a covered van from their possessions.
Based on a tip-off, the RAB team carried out a raid on Wednesday (August 8) night and made the arrests.
The arrested persons are - Md. Himel alias Dulal (38), Abul Kalam (40), Md. Mohsin Ali alias Babu (31), and Md. Al Amin (30). A case has been filed against them. Meanwhile, three-four other persons involved in the incident escaped during the operation.
RAB-4 Commander (CO) DIG Md. Mozammel Haque shared this information in a press conference on Thursday (September 8).
According to RAB, the arrested accused have been stealing exportable garment products from Mirpur, Uttara, Ashulia, and Gazipur of the capital for a long time and selling those in various local markets. In this work, they took the help of drivers engaged in transporting goods.
