RAB RAB increases security patrolling in Dhaka
Dhaka, August 12: Ahead of the National Day of Mourning on August 15, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-2) has increased patrols to strengthen security in various areas of the capital to ensure normal law and order situation and nationwide security. RAB senior assistant director (media) senior ASP Shihab Karim informed this information on Friday.
ASP Shihab Karim said the security of RAB-2 has been strengthened in Mohammadpur, Adabar, Dhanmondi, Kalabagan, Newmarket, Hazaribagh, Sherbangla Nagar, Tejgaon and Tejgaon industrial areas of the capital. The law and order forces of the country are active to ensure normal law and order situation and nationwide security.
He said, security measures have been strengthened to avoid any kind of unpleasant situation. Adequate pickup patrols and motorcycle patrols are being provided by special robust patrols in Mohammadpur, Adabar, Dhanmondi, Kalabagan, Newmarket, Hazaribagh, Sherbangla Nagar, Tejgaon and Tejgaon industrial areas under RAB-2.
To strengthen the security in the responsible area, the captain of RAB-2 is regularly supervising the activities of the patrol team in various areas and giving necessary directions. The RAB official also said that necessary measures will be taken to ensure security in the area under RAB-2 in the future as well.
