Own Correspondent, Dhaka, March 21: The United States has expressed satisfaction with the progress of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in the last three months since the sanction on the force was announced.

Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, who is currently visiting Bangladesh, expressed the satisfaction. Earlier on Sunday (March 20), the Dhaka-Washington Partnership Dialogue was held at the State Guest House Padma. At the end of the dialogue, Victoria Nuland met the journalists.

Foreign Secretary Masood bin Momen represented Bangladesh at the programme while Victoria Nuland led the US delegation to the dialogue.

At the end of the dialogue, Victoria Nuland said the United States is monitoring the activities of the RAB. The United States is concerned about extrajudicial killings. We have seen their development over the past three months. However, the issue of RAB is complicated.

Bangladesh submitted RAB's three-month progress report in the dialogue.

The first partnership dialogue between Bangladesh and the United States was held in Washington on September 19, 2012. Since then, the dialogue has been held once a year in Dhaka and next time in Washington. However, due to Corona, dialogue could not be held for the last two years.
