Dhaka, October 3: Law enforcement forces say that 50 youths have left home recently. They are being sought. Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has started working in this regard.

The force is monitoring those who have left home. RAB's newly appointed Director General (DG) M Khurshid Hossain told reporters after visiting Banani Pujamandap in the capital on Monday (October 3) afternoon.

Are there any threats from the people who have left home during the puja? RAB DG said to reporters, "No matter how smart the militants are, RAB is smarter. I want to assure that RAB is smarter than before. The militants will not get any success."

He said, "Those who have left the house are being monitored. RAB is working on this. I think we can give some good results in a few days after the end of the puja."

Asked if there was any threat on the occasion of Durga Puja, he said, "No, there is no threat so far. We are doing cyber monitoring. Intelligence surveillance is more than any time in the past."

Earlier, DMP Commissioner Moha Shafiqul Islam said the same thing after inspecting the Durga Puja security system at Dhakeshwari temple in the capital on Thursday. He then said that the police is working to find the 50 youths who left their homes recently.

The DMP Commissioner highlighted the issue of leaving home in the name of migration of more than half a hundred young people from different areas of the country.

Late last month, the issue of hijra (emigration or moving from one place to another) came to the attention of the law enforcement agencies while investigating the case of seven college students who went missing from Comilla. After that, seven more people from Patuakhali, Dhaka, Narayanganj and Gopalganj were reported missing for two to three months.
