Dhaka, September 15: Due to continuous rains for several days, the heat has come down, but the pedestrians are suffering. It has been raining intermittently across the capital since Wednesday morning. Somewhere it's drizzling, somewhere it's torrential. It rained by noon. This caused waterlogging in some roads of the city. On top of that, there is severe traffic jam across the capital. All in all, the city dwellers have suffered greatly.

The traffic police struggled to control the pressure of vehicles and congestion on the road. They said that heavy traffic has been created in the entire city due to the rain. Among them, the traffic congestion level was high on airport road from Mohakhali to Uttarar Abdullahpur, Malibagh to Khilkhet, Mohakhali to Vijay Sarani, Mirpur-10 to Vijay Sarani, Caravan Bazar to Shahbagh.

At 11 o'clock Harun Rashid, an employee of a private organization, left Mirpur's Ansar camp for Badda's office. At 2:30 in the afternoon, he was stuck on the airport road before the Kuril Bishwa Road flyover. Even though he had passed 3 and a half hours on the road, he could not say when he would reach the office.

Awal Hossain boarded the bus at 7 am to come from Uttara to Shahbagh. Arrived at Shahbagh at 12 noon. He said, it took five hours to reach the one-hour road. Heavy traffic on the road. The car doesn't run. There was such a traffic jam on Tuesday as well. Having to suffer like this every day.

Like Tuesday, traffic was almost at a standstill in Tongi-Cheragali area of ​​Gazipur today. That traffic jam can be seen in the Uttara-Airport area as well. There was heavy traffic from the capital's airport to Badda via Kuril International Road. There was heavy traffic from the airport through Banani-Mahakhali to Farmgate along with Tejgaon. Due to traffic standstill in Tongi-Cheragali area of ​​Gazipur, other areas of the capital are also affected by severe traffic jam. As a result, the elderly and children suffer more.

In this regard, traffic police members say that traffic was slow due to rain since morning. Besides, the traffic in Dhaka's entrance roads is very slow, causing traffic jams in the capital. Due to heavy traffic in the airport area, vehicles are moving slowly on all roads.
