Dhaka, April 27: Heavy rain lashed Dhaka suddenly on Thursday (April 27) around 5 pm. The sky was suddenly covered with clouds. Due to the overcast sky, it was dark and drivers were forced to drive with headlights on the road.

The Dhaka sky was sunny since morning. In summer, the residents of the capital were suffocating. In the afternoon, dark clouds started gathering in the sky. The storm started around 5:30. The storm is gradually increasing. It creates a dust storm on the road. At first it was raining. The speed of rain increases gradually. At this time torrential rain started in many areas of Dhaka. It was accompanied by lightning.

Meanwhile, many suffered on their way back from office due to sudden rain. Many people are also seen jogging to escape the rain. Many ran and took shelter in the passenger tent. Many people get wet on public transport.

As there was no rain for a few days, the temperature of Dhaka had increased a lot. A mild heatwave was sweeping over Rajshahi, Pabna, Patuakhali and Bhola along with Dhaka, Chittagong and Khulna divisions. Due to storm and rain, the heat has reduced a lot and relief has returned to Dhaka. The maximum temperature in Dhaka was 37.5 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

In the forecast for the inland river ports of the country till 1 pm on Thursday, the Meteorological Department said, from west or north-west over Mymensingh, Tangail, Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong and Cox's Bazar regions. Temporarily gusty winds of 60 to 80 kilometers per hour with rain or thundershowers are possible. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display naval warning signal number 2.

Apart from this, gusty or gusty wind may blow temporarily from west or north-west direction with a speed of 45 to 60 km per hour with rain or thundershower in other parts of the country. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.

The lowest temperature of the country was 18.8 degrees Celsius in Tentulia on that day. The minimum temperature in Dhaka was 26.4 degrees Celsius.
