Rains to increase within three days

Dhaka, August 6: Now the rain is a little less. However, the chances of rain may increase in the next three days. According to the Meteorological Department, the chances of rain has been much less in the last 24 hours from 6 am on Thursday to 6 am on Friday.

There was no rain in Rangpur division during this time, Rajshahi and Barisal divisions received little rain. The highest rainfall in these 24 hours was recorded in Chandpur, where 71 mm rainfall was recorded. Besides, Dhaka received 13 mm of rain.

According to meteorologists, the extension of the monsoon axis extends from India's Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and central Bangladesh to Assam in north east India. An extension of it extends to the North Bay. The monsoon is moderately active over Bangladesh and moderate over the North Bay.

Meteorologist AKM Nazmul Haque said light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusts are likely in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and some parts of Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions in the next 24 hours from 6 am on Friday. At the same time, there may be moderate to heavy rains in some parts of the country. During this time, day and night temperatures will remain almost unchanged across the country. Rainfall is likely to increase in the next three days.

The highest temperature in the country on Thursday was in Syedpur, at 35.5 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature in the country on Wednesday was in Sylhet at 35.8 degrees Celsius.
