Rangpur Communal Violence Rangpur SP transferred for failing to curb violence
Dhaka, October 18: Rangpur District Superintendent of Police (SP) Biplob Kumar Sarkar has been transferred as he could not curb the communal violence. An officer of the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) has been transferred in this case. The transfer was made in a circular signed by Dhananjay Kumar Das, deputy secretary of the police-1 branch of the public security department of the home ministry, on Monday (October 18) by order of the President.
Rangpur District Superintendent of Police (SP) Biplob Kumar Sarkar has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Assistant Inspector General of Police Md Ferdous Ali Chowdhury has been appointed as Rangpur District Superintendent of Police, Feni District Superintendent of Police Khandaker Nurunnabi has been appointed as Assistant Inspector General of Police. Assistant Inspector General of Police Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun has been appointed as Feni District Superintendent of Police.
Also Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) of Chittagong Metropolitan Vijay Basak has been transferred to Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Sylhet Metropolitan Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) Sanjay Sarkar has been transferred as Superintendent of Police Chittagong Range DIG's Office and Assistant Inspector General of Police Md Sohail Rana has been transferred as Deputy Commissioner of Police for Chittagong Metropolitan.
