Dhaka, May 15: On the occasion of Eid, it has been recommended to delay the return journey of the people who have gone home ignoring the health rules, said the Director General of the Department of Health, Prof. Dr. Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam. He told reporters after visiting Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Friday (May 14th).

The Director General said that in order to control the corona virus infection, it has been recommended to delay the return journey of the people who have gone home in crowds, ignoring the hygiene rules on the occasion of Eid. Then they should be returned with appropriate measures.

"We are careful not to allow variants from other countries, including India, to enter our country. We need everyone's cooperation in this regard. If a situation like India's is created in our country, it will be fragile," he said.

"We have increased capacity. But we also have capacity limitations. So everyone has to follow hygiene rules, wear masks. Wash hands with soap and water."
